In the last eight years he has been directing television commercials, Emanuel Hoss-Desmarais has won international acclaim. He has seen three of his spots make the prestigious Cannes Advertising Awards shortlist and has won numerous awards at the Toronto Marketing Awards, London International Awards and the Annual International Advertising Festival of New York. Emanuel was also honored with the Best Directing Award at the Publicité Club De Montréal and the Crea Awards (Québec’s biggest advertising award show) in 2004, 2007, 2008 and nominated for the same award in 2005.

His work includes campaigns for clients like Air Canada, General Motors, Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Toyota, Volkswagen, Napa, Dentyne Ice, Pepsi, Nescafé, V-8, Campbell’s, Bell, Fido, Best Buy, London Life, Reitmans, Molson, Labatt, McDonald’s, Harvey’s, Subway, etc. Emanuel is represented by FOUR ZERO ONE in Montréal, Code Films in Toronto, Mechaniks in Los Angeles and Blue Marlyn in Paris. After having directed three shorts, he is presently developing two feature films : Birthmarked and Whitewash, respectively produced by ITEM 7 and Micro_Scope. Both projects have already received the support of Telefilm Canada and the SODEC.
