Vanya Rose Réalisatrice
After training in performance at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts for two years, Vanya obtained a liberal arts degree at McGill University with first class honours, receiving numerous prizes for both her directing and stage adaptations. While living in London, Paris, and throughout Italy, she created various theatre productions, returning to Montreal to complete a master’s in theatre directing, and soon immersing herself in filmmaking. Having recently concluded Montreal Stories, three “poetic portraits” set throughout the 20th century, Vanya is presently in pre-production for her new short film IMPOSSIBLE, to be aired on CBC, and is developing her first feature-length film As the night the day. Vanya was recently selected for the highly coveted 2009 Director Residency at the Canadian Film Centre (CFC).
